New logo for New York

New York has updated its classic 'I (heart) NY' logo with the help of advertising firm Saatchi & Saatchi.

The US$17 million rebrand features the same design with the addition of a squirrel perched on the Y and a butterfly in the top left corner. A second version shows the letters dusted with snow.

New York tourism hopes the new designs will promote the whole state of New York (not just New York City), complete with ski resorts, woodland and vineyards.
